Your guide to
Scuba TV programs for underwater and scuba diving enthusiasts,
and dive travelers. Please check your local listings for program
verification. Networks often change their lineup. All times are Eastern.
We
are often asked what criteria we use to select our
programs. With the exception of all forms of
diving, which are ALWAYS included, we look for
alternate programs that divers might be interested
in. As always, look for great
programming on your local PBS stations, too numerous
to list.
Network abbreviations are as follows; you can visit their web sites with
your comments, or check for last-minute changes.
While you are at their sites, send an e-mail to tell
them you like their water-oriented programs. Many programs are scheduled in the early morning --

Just
a few Stats: In September, 2003, our 130 Programs
were drawn from 8 major channels and represented 76%
of our total offerings. National Geographic
weighed in at a whopping 31%. All together the
Discovery Channels (DC, AP, TC, SCICH) accounted for
37%, distantly followed by the 2 History Channels at
18%. The 321 Airings
were represented by the Science Channel (SCICH) at a
hefty 52%, followed by National Geographic at 19%.
We had an unusual number of water-related movies,
constituting 15% of our programs.
NOTE:
WE WILL DISCONTINUE OUR TV LISTINGS INDEFINITELY
STARTING OCTOBER 1, 2003. WE MAY RESUME AT
SOME LEVEL IF INTEREST IS INDICATED. PLEASE
CONTINUE TO SUPPORT THOSE CHANNELS THAT PROVIDE
WATER-RELATED PROGRAMMING BY E-MAILING YOUR COMMENTS

DISSEMINATING OUR DIVING INTERESTS, OUR WATER
ECOLOGIES, AND THE WORK OF THOSE WHO PHOTOGRAPH,
WORK, WRITE, PRESERVE AND LOBBY FOR THE FUTURE OF
OUR WATERY WORLD.
